Bare bite has worked extensively with many 5 star Executive Chefs and Pastry Chefs who we now supply our delectable bites to. We acknowledge their input and contribution in helping us develop our new range. Their time and patience in their already busy schedules has been greatly appreciated.

Sam GowingSam Gowing  Clinical Nutritionist, Executive Chef, Keynote Speaker and Wellness Authority, Sam also holds a Diploma of Health Science, Nutrition and is a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society.

Using her unique blend of nutrition, fine dining and business expertise Samantha Gowing help put ‘food as medicine’ on the       map in Australia. She is Australia’s top spa chef, renowned for her nutritional wisdom – and for being a powerful influencer among healthy lifestyle audiences. Her Byron Bay based global wellness company Gowings Food Health Wealth creates culinary programs for luxury hotels, spas and health retreats worldwide.

When Mumma Bare created the original Bare Bites, she knew they not only had to taste good, they needed to be good for you too.  Sam brought her wealth of knowledge, finessing our recipes and enabling us to create balanced, nutritious, healthy raw desserts we can not only enjoy, but have confidence in their nutritional value and a product we can be proud of.

Ben Flowerday. Raw Vegan Chef. Photographer. Life Artist. Wanderer. Type 1 diabetic.
Ben started his culinary career in a small day spa . Enjoying the positive feedback from his creations, he enrolled with The William Angliss Institute and began commercial cookery training. During his training, he found work with the award winning restaurant and winery, Montalto and Three Hatted restaurant, Vue de Monde in Melbourne. It was at Vue de Monde, where he learned his molecular gastronomy. Ben then joined the kitchen team at Verge Restaurant, working along side Dallas Cuddy and learning his exciting, modern and Japanese influenced food.

Ben graduated and left Australia for Japan to continue his exploration and learnings in Japanese cuisine. Exposed to new ingredients, new flavours, new techniques and new ideals, Ben was also introduced to macrobiotic vegan food and met raw food Chef Chie Shinya. From Japan to Costa Rica, Ben embraced a raw food lifestyle living off the land and surfing until a call came from Samudra in Dunsborough, Western Australia seeking a Raw Food Chef for a café promoting healthy, raw and vegan food. Ben joined the team and helped create the most delicious and creative raw food that could be found anywhere in Western Australia. Ben travelled back to Melbourne and worked alongside Matthew Kenney before heading to Ubud Bali, preparing food for students of the Radiantly Alive Yoga Teacher Training and Elaina Loves Raw Food Training.

Ben’s passion is to pass on his knowledge and skills so that others can enjoy a healthy lifestyle through the food choices they make whilst pursuing deeper answers and alternative natural remedies for type 1 diabetes.

At Bare Bite, we rely on Ben’s extensive experience to oversee the processes throughout our kitchens and we utilise his skills to upscale our capacity to manufacture our product on a grander scale. Ben made sure the equipment and integrity of our product matched our vision enabling us to move forward and bring our Bare Bite experience to you across Australia.

Ben is now travelling the world spreading his creative wings.

Luci Smith  Pastry Chef Extraordinaire

Luci was the winner of our Valentines Day competition, when she came to collect her bounty she brought with her resume. We were so impressed with her skills, enthusiasm and passion for Bare Bite she is now a vital part of our team.

Luci ensures all of our bites are dressed to impress, casting her critical eye over each and every bite that leaves the Bare Bite kitchen.

Luci has worked in both Australia and in Europe as a classically trained pastry chef and baker.
